We Have New Owners

We are excited to share the news that Patten Monument Company in Comstock Park has purchased Superior Monument Company in Muskegon, along with the Grand Haven location and the Swensen Memorials location in Traverse City. We are very happy for Dave and Nancy Sietsema, as they take more time to spend with grandchildren, travel, and hobbies. They wanted to know the company would be in good hands, as it has been their passion growing it since he opened for business in 1986.

Patten Monument celebrated its 100 years in business last year.

It’s our honor to carry the torch that Dave lit in 1986. With the knowledgeable and dedicated staff at Superior, it’s a great opportunity to collaborate and exchange ideas with our new team.

Andrew Bolt, president of Patten Monument

The communities and families we serve can expect the merging of Superior with Patten to ensure a continued commitment to excellence through honesty and exceptional customer service. Our goal is to exceed your expectations. Local craftsmanship will continue by keeping production at the Muskegon facility at 354 Ottawa St., Muskegon.
